Edit:

It's 2022 now.

To keep accountability for myself, I'm not deleting this or what I wrote as my previous description.

These manips were never meant maliciously.

I love Tiana as she is. She's been one of my favorite princesses and has had one of my favorite movies ever since she came out. I do not think she needs to be a white princess, nor would I ever want her to be one or changed into one for real. Her story is wonderful as is and would make no sense at all if she were whitewashed.

I am well aware that whitewashing is a bad thing and I have learned quite a lot on the subject in the EIGHT years since doing these manipulations.

If you're seeing this artwork now and planning on commenting something relating to the whitewashing...please don't. I'm well passed my days of race manips. I know better now. I do not need to be educated.

Just enjoy the piece for what it is. A person who was trying to learn how to manip art. ✌️

Original text:
So, there's bound to be backlash of some sort over racebent characters, especially turning black characters another nationality, but I thought it would be interesting just to see what characters could look like as a different race. Here we have Megara, Belle and Tiana. I have to admit, I think the one that came out the best of the bunch is Megara.

Anyway, I've been working on these for a while, on and off as a stress reliever. I have others, and I'll probably come back and change Megara's outfit to fit her better, or completely do another screen cap of her, we'll see.
